The sum of $20,956.00 is hereby appropriated from the Narcotic Seizure account to pay for the cost of the retrofit project. 4. The City Manager/Chief of Police is hereby authorized to negotiate the terms of, and enter into a contract for, the retrofit of the uth San Francisco Police Department firing range in an amount no' to exceed $20,956.00. Poi 2 Proposal for a new Memorandum of Understanding between City of South San Francisco and South San Francisco Police Association The Memorandum covering the period January 1, 1993 through December 31, 1993 is to be renewed without change except for the following: A. TERM: January 1, 1994 through December 31, 1994 B. WAGES: Wages for all classifications shall be increased by 1.5% effective January 1, 1994. Ce IRS TAX EXEMPTION: The City shall obtain a 414H2 Exemption from the Internal Revenue Service granting a deferral from federal withholding taxes of that portion of the employees contribution to PERS being paid by the City prior to the adoption of this MOU. The exemption will be obtained for all employees in the bargaining unit. Those employees who have their City paid employee contribution of PERS converted to salary pursuant to the provisions of the prior MOU shall have that additional salary reconverted to City paid employee contribution of PERS, subject to 414H2 and shall be treated like the other employees in the bargaining unit. De HEALTH INSURANCE: The new M.O.U. shall contain the following language regarding potential legislated changes to ~ealth Insurance: "Should either State or Federal statutes mandate that the parties to this MOU participate in a national or state health plan or system, the parties agree that the level of health care benefits currently provided to employees covered by this MOU will not be diminished nor will the employee's cost for maintenance of these benefits be increased beyond any provided in this MOU."
