CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT CIP 94-3
TO THE 1993-1994 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET
WHEREAS, the current play area in Westborough Park has not
been upgraded since the park was developed in the early 1970's; and
WHEREAS, many of the play structures have been removed due to
deterioration, and the remaining equipment is antiquated and non-
functional; and
WHEREAS, to provide for security, sufficient space, and police
surveillance, staff is proposing the play area be relocated
adjacent to the Westborough Park Building; and
WHEREAS, old play equipment would be removed and replaced with
low shrubs and groundcover to create and aesthetically pleasing,
passive recreation environment; and
WHEREAS, appropriation of $75,000 is required for completion,
for which sufficient Park Dedication funds are available in the
Westborough Zone for this project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that it hereby adopts this budget amendment
to appropriate $75,000 from the Park Dedication funds in the
Westboro'agh Zone to the CIP budget to complete the Westborough Park
Play Area Project.
