CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
I A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE STATEMENT OF COSTS
i FOR THE SUMMARY ABATEMENT AT 379 ARBOR DRIVE
WHEREAS, Emanuel and Mildred Ghilardi are the owners of the
property located at 379 Arbor Drive, (AP A#010-251-040) South San
Francisco, California; and;
WHEREAS, South San Francisco Municipal Code Chapter 8.24
establishes a procedure for the elimination of any conditions on
private property that reasonably appear to constitute an imminent
or immediate danger to the health or safety of the public; and
WHEREAS, specific charges in connection with the Summary
Nuisance Abatement are detailed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, due to the failure of the owners to comply, on
September 14, 1993 the City secured the services of the Peninsula
Community Services, Inc., under contract with the County of San
Mateo and Don & Jerry's Automotive, Inc., under contract with the
City of South San Francisco, for the total cost of abatement in the
amount of $12,625.00.
WHEREAS, the City has provided the property owner with
appropriate notice, conducted a noticed hearing and provided an
opportunity for the property owner to present evidence and contest
the assessment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco that:
1. The evidence before the Council establishes that the
Statement of Costs was an appropriate expenditure of City funds to
abate what amounted to a dangerous public nuisance.
2. The Statement of Costs does not exceed the actual clean-
up costsi and is hereby confirmed.
3. i The City Clerk is directed to forward a copy of this
Resolutiion to the County Recorder for recordation.

Elimination of conditions detrimental to the public health and safety of the resident at subject
location i3cluding the following:
1. Elimination of roof rat infestation in the house and surrounding property by rodent
proofing house, trapping rats, removing rat harborage in yards, eliminating stored
foods in the house.
2. Cut and removed trees and shrubs. Removed poison oak in the back,side and
front yards.
3. Removed trash, newspapers, garbage, ruined carpets, drapes, etc. from inside the
house.
4. Cleaned and sanitized interior of the house. Restored plumbing in bathroom and
kitchen.
5. Cordinated preparatory work for plumber, roofer and other sub-contractors as
necessary.
6. Removed three (3) autos from the garage and driveway. Stored vehicles at the
City's corporation yard during abatement and returned them when work was
completed.

$12,500.00
