CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL
OF A GRANT APPLICATION FOR LIBRARY
SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION ACT FUNDS
(COMPUTER ASSISTED LITERACY INSTRUCTION
PROJECT)
WHEREAS, the federal Library Services and Construction Act
provides funds for an Excellence For All project; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco operates libraries
which may qualify for such grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the funds, if awarded, would be utilized to provide
an Adult Literacy Program through the library.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, California, as follows:
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an
application for the grant funds for a Computer Assisted Literacy
Instruction project in the amount of $32,500.00.
2. The City Manager is further authorized to execute any and
all documents necessary to assure that the City obtains and
appropriately expends such funds.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of
January , 1993 by the following vote:
