RESOLUTION NO. 10-93
,UNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL
OF A GRANT APPLICATION FOR LIBRARY
SERVICES AND CONSTRUCTION ACT FUNDS
(EXCELLENCE FOR ALL PROJECT)
WHEREAS, the federal Library Services and Construction Act
provides funds for an Excellence For All project; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco operates libraries
which may qualify for such grant funds; and
WHEREAS, the funds, if awarded, would be utilized to provide
an Adult Literacy Program through the library.
NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South]San Francisco, California, as follows:
1. i The City Manager is hereby authorized to submit an
application for the grant funds for an Excellence For All project
in the amount of $35,000.00.
2. IThe City Manager is further authorized to execute any and
all documents necessary to assure that the city obtains and
appropriately expends such funds.
I h~reby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the city Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a re§u]ar meeting held on the 27th day of
January
