CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH THE
TELECOMMUNICATIONS MANAGEMENT CORPORATION FOR
CABLE TELEVISION CONSULTANT SERVICES, AND
APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT 93-7 TO THE
1992-1993 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City's current non-exclusive franchise agreement
expires in October 1995; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Cable Communication Policy Act of
1984, the franchise system operator must initiate the renewal
process approximately two and one-half (2-1/2) years prior to
expiration of the agreement; and
WHEREAS, a City Council Cable TV subcommittee was formed which
resulted in the City soliciting a consultant proposal from
Telecommunications Management Corporation (TMC).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, that:
1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
negotiate and execute on behalf of the City of South San Francisco
a Consultant Agreement in an amount not to exceed $29,500.00 for
cable television consultant services with Telecommunications
Management Corporation to provide for technical assistance in
negotiations with the cable television franchise.
2. The amount of $29,500.00 is appropriated from the
undesignated general fund balance to the city Manager's operating
budget to be utilized for consultant services with
Telecommunications Management Corporation.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the city Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 24th day of
February , 1993 by the following vote.
