CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING WEED ABATEMENT
BY PRIVATE CONTRACT AND APPROVING BUDGET
AMENDMENT 93-9 TO THE 1992-1993 OPERATING
BUDGET
WHEREAS, when property owners fail to respond to the City's
order to abate, funds will be needed to contract a private entity
to remove weeds from sites within the City; and
WHEREAS, weed abatement issues shall be performed by the
contractor at owner's expense.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco hereby adopts this budget amendment and
appropriates $5,000.00 for the purpose of contracting a private
entity to remove weeds when property owner(s) fail to respond to
the city's order to abate.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City shall take all steps
necessary to assure that the costs incurred are paid by the
property owner(s) within thirty days or become a special assessment
against ~he property.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 14th day of
