CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT FOR
CONSULTING SERVICES BETWEEN CORLETT, SKAER
& DeVOTO ARCHITECTS AND THE CITY FOR THE
AIRCRAFT NOISE INSULATION PROJECT - PHASE
VIII AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO CALL FOR BIDS
WHEREAS, the City Council is beginning the design of Phase
VIII of the Aircraft Noise Insulation Project; and
WHEREAS, the project architect is responsible for the design
of the improvements to insulate the homes and for support
services during construction; and
WHEREAS, the staff invited twelve architects to submit
qualifications to be evaluated in accordance with Federal
Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines; and
WHEREAS, three firms responded; and
WHEREAS, Corlett, Skaer & DeVoto Architects was considered
best qualified; and
WHEREAS, this selection has been approved by the FAA.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager is
authorized to execute on behalf of the City of South San
Francisco an agreement for the Aircraft Noise Insulation Project
- Phase VIII between Corlett, Skaer & DeVoto Architects and the
City for the design of the improvements to insulate the homes and
for support services during construction for a fixed fee in an
amount not to exceed $268,504.00, upon terms and conditions as
set forth in the Agreement, on file in the office of the City
Clerk. ~unding for this phase is provided for in the amended
Capital Improvement Budget.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff is authorized to prepare
plans and specifications and call for bids for Phase VIII of the
project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 28th day of
Apri' , 1991 by the following vote.
