HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 54-1993CITY C~ WHE recommen WHE replacem WHE restore and WHE located WHE] painting business NOW of South' from Con work on Se owners Avenue. acceptab] guarantee RESOLUTION NO. 54-93 )UNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET RECOMMENDATION FOR CHANTAL WEDDING CENTER AND THE BERTOLUCCI BUILDING IN THE DOWNTOWN COMMERCIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM REAS, the Downtown Citizens Review Committee has ded funding for two businesses in the Downtown area; and REAS, the Chantal Wedding Center is in need of tile ent for the entryway; and ~EAS, the Committee has recommended a $2,500 grant to broken, cracked and unsightly tile at the main entrance; ~EAS, the second project involves the Bertolucci building in the 600 block of Linden Avenue; and ~EAS, the Bertolucci building renovation will consist of this entire building, providing new signage for each owner and repair of the existing planters and columns. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City San Francisco as follows: A grant of $2,500 is awarded to Chantal Wedding Center lunity Development Block Grant Funds to repair the tile ~he entryway. A CDBG matching grant of $20,000 is hereby awarded to the f the Bertolucci Building on the 600 block of Linden Such grant is conditioned upon the owners providing proof ~e to the City that $20,000 of non-CDBG funding is ~d for the project. The project shall consist of painting the entil~e building, providing new signage for each business, repairing the existing planters and columns and providing decorative banner detail. 3. The city Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute any and all documents necessary to assure that the above- listed g~ * ants are awarded and projects carried out. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of May , 1993 by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSTAIN ABSENT: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A.
