CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL AND
EXECUTION OF A COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND SAN
MATEO COUNTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONTINUING A CONSORTIUM REQUIRED TO
RECEIVE HOME FUNDS
WHEREAS, the National Affordable Housing Act of 1990 provides
for the distribution of federal funds through the HOME Investment
Partnerships Act to metropolitan cities, urban counties, or
consortia whole formula allocation for distribution is equal to or
greater than $750,000; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo qualifies as an Urban County
under the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and
WHEREAS, the County solicits the cooperation and co-
participation of public entities such as the City of South San
Francisco in a consortium for the purpose of receiving HOME Funds;
and
WHEREAS, Federal regulations 24 CFR Part 92
Cooperation Agreement must be submitted to the
Housing and Urban Development by August 1, 1993.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, California that:
1. The "Cooperation Agreement" between the City of South San
Francisco and San Mateo County for the purpose of furnishing a
consorti'am required to receive HOME Funds under the National
Affordable Act is hereby approved.
2. The city Manager is hereby authorized to execute the
Agreemen~ on behalf of the City. A copy of the Agreement is on
file in ~he office of the City Clerk.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted~ by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 26th day of
May , 1993 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Jack Draqo, Joseph A. Fernekes, Robert Yee, and
Mayor Roberta Cerri Teqlia
