HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 64-1993 RESOLUTION NO. 64-93 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING BUDGET RECOMMENDATION FOR THE MEXICO TIPICO RESTAURANT IN THE DOWNTOWN COMMERCIAL REHABILITATION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Downtown Citizens Review Committee has recommended funding for the renovation of the Mexico Tipico Restaurant located on the 200 block of Grand Avenue; and WHEREAS, to appropriately address the building's architectural style, the replacement of the existing awning with a new more colorful awning is needed; WHEREAS, the Committee has recommended a $5,000 grant to enhance the character of this building and the surrounding neighborhood. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: 1. A grant of $5,000 is awarded to the Mexico Tipico Restaurant from Community Development Block Grant Funds to replace the existing awning with a new and more colorful awning. 3. The city Manager is hereby authorized to negotiate and execute any and all documents necessary to assure that the above- listed grant is awarded and the project is carried out. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a requ]ar meeting held on the 9th day of June , 1993 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Jack Draqo, Joseph A. Fernekes, John R.
