HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 100-1992RESOLUTION NO. 100-92 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION TO AWARD CONTRACT FOR REMEDIATION OF CONTAMINATED SOIL AT THE WATER OUALITY CONTROL PLANT WHEREAS, during the demolition of the existing Blower Building, to make space for a new structure, hydrocarbon contaminated soil has been encountered identifying high concentrations of gasoline; and WHEREAS, the remediation impacts the construction schedule and jeopardizes the completion date; and WHEREAS, a registered environmental consultant has been retained to prepare the required documents necessary to begin remediatSon and to prepare the final report. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that: 1. The Council hereby adopts an emergency resolution to allow a contract to be awarded for the remediation of contaminated soil at the treatment plant. The City Manager is authorized to execute an Agreement on behalf of the City of South San Francisco. 2. Funding for the project is included in the Sewer Fund Capital Improvement Program in an amount not to exceed $50,000. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of August , 1992 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A. Fernekes, Roberta Cerri Teglia, Robert Yee, and Mayor John R. Penna NOES: None ABSTAIN: ~0ne ABSENT: ~0ne ATTEST:
