HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 120-1992RESOLUTION NO. 120-92 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL APPROPRIATING $1.5 MILLION FROM THE HEALTH & BENEFITS FUND FOR THE PURPOSE OF SEISMIC RETROFITTING OF CITY HALL AND THE GRAND AVENUE LIBRARY, AND APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT 93-2 TO THE 1992-1993 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Operating Budget for fiscal year 1992-93 by adopting Resolution No. 105-92; and WHEREAS, when adopting Resolution No. 105-92 the City Council, by motion, decided to allocate $1.5 million in Public Employees Retirement System (P.E.R.S.) money to the Capital Improvement Fund for retrofitting City Hall and the Grand Avenue Library to assure that they are seismically safe; and WHEREAS, for accounting purposes a resolution showing such allocation is necessary. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Soutk San Francisco that: 1. $1.5 million is hereby appropriated from the Health & Benefits Fund to the Capital Improvement Budget Fund for the purpose of retrofitting City Hall and the Grand Avenue Library to assure that they are in compliance with the State's seismic safety requirements. 2. The Council hereby adopts Budget Amendment 93-2 to appropriate the funds. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriated funds may be expended for the above-stated purposes.
