HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 124-1992RESOLUTION NO. 124-92 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR THE MUNICIPAL SERVICES BUILDING ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT, AND APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT 93-1 TO THE 1992-1993 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET FOR PROJECT #782 WHEREAS, pursuant to the call for bids as provided in Resolution No. 70-92 adopted July 8, 1992, and published notice, bids were publicly opened, examined and declared on the 30th day of July 1992, for the Municipal Services Building Roof Replacement, Project No. PB-92-4; and WHEREAS, contract was awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in the amount of $215,383 but an additional $37,000 is needed to fund the project. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that: 1. The Council hereby awards the contract to the lowest responsiDle bidder, Pacific Coast Building Company, Inc., Santa Clara, CA., in the amount of Two Hundred Fifteen Thousand Three Hundred ~ighty Three Dollars ($215,383.00). 2. The Council hereby adopts Budget Amendment 93-1 to appropriate an additional $37,000 to fund Project #782. 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute ~he written contract between the City and the successful bidder on file in the Office of the city Clerk. 4. The Council hereby rejects all other proposals or bids. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9th day of September , 1992 by the following vote: AYES'. Councilmembers Jack Drago, Joseph A. Fernekes, Roberta Cerri Teglia, Robert Yee, and Mayor John R. Penna NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: N0ne ATTEST: 2
