]OUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A FUEL
EFFICIENT TRAFFIC SIGNAL MANAGEMENT
PROGRAM GRANT APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the State of California has a traffic engineering
program (FETSIM) to assist cities to establish optimum,
progressive traffic signal timing, and
.WHEREAS, the goals are to obtain smoother traffic flow and
and
minimize vehicle delay fuel consumption.
~EREAS, funds to pay for traffic engineering services are
provided by the FETSIM program and staff services are already
covered in the Operating Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the
City of South Francisco that the application for a Fuel
Efficient Traffic Signal Management Program is hereby approved,
and the City Manager is authorized to submit the application to
the State of California, along with any additional information
required and to execute all documents necessary to secure the
Grant Funds.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco at a re~u]ar meeting held on
the 14th day of 0ct0ber , 1992 by the following
vote:
