HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 100-2010RESOLUTION NO. 1g0.2Q1.0 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE ORANGE MEMORIAL PARK SWIMMING POOL BOILER REPLACEMENT PROJECT NO. 510-99999-pfl 103 TO CI:T'Y MECHANICAL, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $34,884.60 WHEREAS, on November 3 and November 10, 2010., staff advertised a "Notice Inviting Bids" for the boiler replacement at Orange Memorial Park: Swimming Pool. and encouraged contractors to visit the area, verify work conditions and restrictions; and WHEREAS, on November 18, 2010, staff received three (3) bids, and City Mechanical, Inc. of Hercules, California was the lowest responsible bidder;; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council adopt a resolution awarding the construction services contract for the boiler replacement at Orange Memorial Park Swimming Pool to City Mechanical, Inc. in the amount of $34,884.60; and WHEREAS, sufficient funding is included in the 2010/2011 CIP Budget; Project No. 510-99999-pfl 103. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby: 1. Awards a contract to City Mechanical, Inc. of Hercules, California, in the amount of $34,884.60 for the boiler replacement at Orange Memorial Park Swimming Pool conditioned on City Mechanical Inc.'s timely execution of the project contract and submission of all required documents, including lbut not limited to, executed bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorsements, in accordance with the project bid documents. 2. Authorizes the City Manager to execute the Agiā€¢ee;ment on behalf of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco upon timely submission by City Mechanical, Inc. of the signed project contract and all other required documents, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 8~h day of December 2010 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addie~o, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mater Kevin Mullin NOES: ABSTAIN: ABSENT: AT7
