CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION APPROVING SUPPLEMENT NO. 8 TO THE
AGREEMENT FOR SEWAGE DISPOSAL WITH THE NORTH
SAN MATED COUNTY SANITATION DISTRICT
WHEREAS, on March 4, 1968, the City of Sauth San Francisco entered into an
agreement with the North San Mateo County Sanitation District (NCSD) to provide sewage
collection, treatment, and disposal services; and
WHEREAS, on November 2, 2010, the NCSD requested to remove 180 home service
connections from the Gellert Drive Sewer Service Area and redirect their flow to the Daly City
facilities; and
WHEREAS, by adding an additional sewer line within the Daly City city limits the
sewage flow from these homes can be redirected to the NCSD collection system and to a pump
station owned and operated by the NCSD; and
WHEREAS, Supplement No. 8 to the agreement dated March 4, 1968 for Sewage
Disposal by and Between the City of South San Francisco and the NCSD is needed to
incorporate changes and alterations of the Agreement for sewage disposal; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby approves Supplement No.8 to the agreement dated March
4, 1968 between the City of South San Francisco and the North San Mateo County Sanitation
District; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute
Supplement No. 8 in a final form to be approved by the City Attorney.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 8th day of
December 2010 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto,
Vice Mavor Richard A. Garbarino and Mavor Kevin Mullin
