CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A CALIFORNIA
LIBRARY SERVICES ACT GRANT FROM THE
CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY FOR $7,200
AND APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. 93-5
TO THE 1992-1993 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the California State Library Services Act makes grant
funds available to local libraries; and
WHEREAS, said funds have been awarded to fund a project which
would enable staff to share the tutor training model and tutor
support materials with librarians throughout California;
WHEREAS, grant funds in the amount of $7,200.00 have been
approved by the California State Library for the South San
Francisco Library programs.
WHEREAS, $5,500 of the funds would be applied to the existing
budget; and
WHEREAS, a $1,700 amendment to the current budget would be
used to offset additional travel-related expenses and supplies.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the city Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. The City Manager, on behalf of the city of South San
Francisco, is hereby authorized to accept a grant in the amount of
$7,200.00 from the California State Library and execute any and all
documents necessary to receive such grant.
2. The amount of $1,700.00 is appropriated to the Library's
operating budget to be utilized for purposes consistent with the
requirements of the herein accepted grant.
