CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ASSESSMENT OF
COSTS FOR ABATEMENT OF ABANDONED VEHICLES
WHEqEAS, pursuant to Chapter 8.48 of the South San Francisco Municipal
Code, the Police Department is authorized to abate public nuisances by having
abandoned vehicles on private property towed away; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 38773.5 and South San
Francisco Municipal Code Section 8.48.150 the City may charge the costs of
abatement to the property owner and if the owner does not pay, the amount may
be made al assessment against the property to be collected as other property
taxes.
WHEqEAS, the following abatements were conducted pursuant to this
authority and remain unpaid:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that:
1) The costs of abatement listed in Exhibit "1" are.assessed against
the respective property owners.
2) The City Clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the San
Mateo Coulty Controller who is hereby authorized to add the assessment to the
FY 1991-92 property tax roll.
3) The San Mateo County Tax Collector is hereby authorized to collect
the assessments in the same manner as all other property taxes.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at
a regula~ meeting held on the 24th day of· July , 1991 by the
following vote:
