CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A CALIFORNIA
LIBRARY SERVICES ACT GRANT FROM THE
CALIFORNIA STATE LIBRARY FOR $20,326.00
AND APPROVING BUDGET AMENDMENT NO. 92-10
TO THE 1991-1992 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the California State Library Services Act makes grant
funds available to local libraries; and
WHEREAS, said funds may be used utilized for a wide variety of
Library activities such as workshops, storytimes and children's
programs for the families of adults in Literacy Programs; and
WHEREAS, the South San Francisco Public Library has programs
eligible to receive Library Services Act funds; and
WHEREAS, grant funds in the amount of $20,326.00 have been
approved by the California State Library for the South San
Francisco Library programs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco as follows:
1. The City Manager, on behalf of the city of South San
Francisco, is hereby authorized to accept a grant in the amount of
$20,326..30 from the California State Library and execute any and
all documents necessary to receive such grant.
2. The amount of $20,326.00 is appropriated to the Library's
operating budget to be utilized for purposes consistent with the
requirements of the herein accepted grant.
3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon
adoption.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 23rd day of
0ct0ber , 1991 by the following vote:
AYES: City Councilmembers Richard A. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos, John R.
Penna, Roberta Cerri Teglia, and Mayor Jack Drago
