HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 131-1991 RESOLUTION NO. 131-91 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A PROPOSAL FOR CONSULTING SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE WATER QUALITY PLANT IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, the State Revolving Fund makes loans available to local jurisdictions funds to finance construction of improvements to sewage treatment plants; and WHEREAS, Bartle Wells Associates has been retained by the City to provide consulting services regarding the financing of improvements to the City's sewage treatment plant; and WHEREAS, Bartle Wells Associates estimates that the City could save in excess of $5 million by obtaining a loan for the subject improvements rather than utilizing conventional financing; and WHEREAS, South San Francisco desires to obtain a $7.6 million state revolving fund loan; and WHEREAS, a prerequisite to obtaining such a loan is the preparation of Revenue Program Guidelines; and WHEREAS, Bartle Wells Associates has submitted a proposal to prepare such a program to the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows: 1. The City Manager is authorized to accept a proposal of Bartle Wells Associates, dated October 1, 1991, for the preparation of a sewer revenue program and execute an agreement in an amount not to exceed $14,000 plus direct expense. 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a re§u]ar meeting held on the 23rd day of October , 1991 by the following vote: AYES: City Councilmembers Richard A. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos, John R. Penna, Roberta Cerri Teglia, and Mayor Jack Drago NOES: None ABSTAIN: None ABSENT: None Cl y Clerk
