CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION REVISING SCAVENGER RATES AND CHARGES
WHEREAS, on April 8, 1992, the City Council of the City of
South San Francisco held a public hearing as required by Municipal
Code Secnion 8.16.440A revising scavenger rates and charges; and
WHEREAS, after all evidence presented at the public hearing
the city Council finds that it is reasonable to revise the rates to
reflect ~he increased disposal fees paid by the Scavenger Company
for use of the Ox Mountain landfill.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the city
of South San Francisco that it hereby approves the revised
scavenger rates and charges shown on Exhibit "A" which is attached
and incorporated herein. These new rates shall be retroactive to
November 1, 1991. If the disposal fees at Ox Mountain are reduced
at any time in the future, the rates will be reduced accordingly
with City Council concurrence.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted ~y the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco at a re§u/ar meeting held on the 8th day of
April , 1992 by the following vote.

Surcharges to be collected at Ox Mountain, effective November 1, 1991, are as follows:

The surcharge to be levied on all garbage which originates within the corporate limits of
the ~ity of San Bruno and which is received at Ox Mountain on the tonnage basis through
October 31, 1992, shall be $1 Per ton less than the surcharge levied on the garbage
received from other areas of the County. This reduced surcharge is in recognition of the
City of San Bruno providing its own financing for its Source Reduction and Recycling
Element and Household Hazardous Waste Element which are required by State law. After
October 31, 1992, the surcharge levied on all garbage origlnating within corporate limits
of San Bruno shall be the same as the surcharge levied on all other garbage that originates
in San Mateo County.
