CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE RETENTION
OF COOPERS & LYBRAND TO PROVIDE AUDIT
SERVICES FOR FISCAL YEARS 1992, 1993
AND 1994
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it would be in their
best interest to request proposals to provide audit services for
1992, 1993 and 1994; and
WHEREAS, proposals were requested and received by the city;
and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance, Chief Accountant and
Accountant interviewed the three best qualified firms; and
WHEREAS, after checking references, it was determined that
Coopers & Lybrand was the firm best suited to the city's needs; and
WHEREAS, there will be substantial savings for the City if
they retain Coopers & Lybrand to provide audit services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of South San Francisco, California, as follows:
1. Coopers & Lybrand is hereby retained to provide audit
services for fiscal years 1992, 1993 and 1994.
2. The City Manager is authorized to execute an Agreement
with Coopers & Lybrand to provide audit services for the City in an
amount not to exceed thirty nine thousand dollars ($39,000.00) for
fiscal year 1992. A copy of the Agreement is on file with the City
Clerk.
3. The City Manager is further authorized to execute options
to continue service for Fiscal Years 1993 and 1994 so long as the
cost shall not escalate more than five (5%) percent for each fiscal
years. Increases above five (5%) percent shall be brought back to
the City Council for approval.
