CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO DISSOLUTION OF
SAN MATEO COUNTY CITIES INSURANCE JOINT
POWERS AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco and other cities, in 1979, formed
the San Ma~eo County Cities Insurance Joint Powers Authority for the purpose of
jointly pooling liability losses and jointly purchasing liability insurance;
and
WHEREAS, after many years of successful operation it was deemed desirable
that the various cities seek other means of performing those functions, and
that the Joint Powers Authority therefore be dissolved; and
WHEREAS, all outstanding litigation involving the Authority has been
completed, all monies owing to it have been paid, and it may be dissolved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco does hereby consent to the dissolution of the San Mateo County
Cities Insurance Joint Powers Authority.

adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
