HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 03-2011RESOLUTION NO. 03-2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF THE CI'CY"S APPLICATIONS FOR CCAG'S 5TH CYCLE TRANSIT ORIENTED DEVELOPMENT HOUSING INCENTIVE PF:OGRAM WHEREAS, CCAG has recently called for applications for its "Transit Oriented Development Incentive Program" which provides cities a financial incentive to approve and build high-density housing (40+ units per acre) within 1/3 mile of a transit station or on a frontage parcel of El Camino Real; and WHEREAS, the City has identified three commercial/residential mixed-use projects that may be eligible for the housing incentives program: 1309 Mission Road, 636 El Camino Real and 418 Linden Avenue ("Eligible Projects"); and WHEREAS, all of the Eligible Proj ects propose to construct more than 40 units per acre; and WHEREAS, all of the Eligible projects are located within 1/3 of a mile of a transit station or on a frontage parcel of El Camino Real; and WHEREAS, to date, none of the Eligible Proj ects have received an approved building permit. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby supports the City's applications for CCAG's 5th Cycle Transit Oriented Development (TOD) Housing Incentive Program. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of January 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A.
