CIITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE
i OF RIGHTS-OF-WAY PRIOR TO APPROVAL
~ OF THE FREEWAY AGREEMENT FOR THE
i OYSTER POINT INTERCHANGE
WHEREA~, the City of South San Francisco desires State highway improvements
consistin~ of reconstruction of the Oyster Point Boulevard Interchange on
Route 101!; and
WHEREA~, the State is willing to have the City take responsibility for all
right-of-Way activities for the project; and
WHEREAS, the City is furnishing right-of-way services with oversight by the
Santa Clara Traffic Authority; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to have the right-of-way activities continue
while theiCity and the State are preparing the necessary Freeway Agreement;
and ~
WHEREAS, Section 100.21(b) of the Streets & Highway Code authorizes the
purchase of rights-of-way for a main line corridor of a proposed freeway when
the freeway alignment is not in issue.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that:
Tie purchase of rights-of-way within the main line corridor for the
Oyster Point Interchange project, which alignment is not in issue, is hereby
authorize~ to proceed prior to approval of the freeway agreement between the
Californi~ Department of Transportation and the City of South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted l~y the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the lOth day of April , 1991 by the following
vote:
