CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$27,000 FROM THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND
GAME, OFFICE OF OIL SPILL PREVENTION AND RESPONSE
(OSPR) TO PURCHASE OIL SPILL RESPONSE EQUIPMENT;
AND AMENDING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT 2010/2011
OPERATING BUDGET _
WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of a $27,000 grant from the California
Department of Fish and Game, Office of Oil Spill Prevention and Response (OSPR) to purchase oil
spill response equipment; and
WHEREAS, there is no matching requirement associated with this grant; and
WHEREAS, the grant represents 100% of the total funding for the oil response equipment
and training.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts a grant from the California Department of Fish and
Game, Office of Oil Spill Prevention and Response (OSI'R) to purchase oil spill response
equipment; and amends the 2010/2011 Fire Department operating budget.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San. Francisco at a regular mf;eting held on the 26th day of January
2011 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez and Karyl Matsumoto,
Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Kevin Mullin
