HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 148-1989 RESOLUTION NO. 148-89 CITY COUNCILj CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCOj STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATIONS OF FOUR PARCELS OF LAND WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 92-84 the City Council adopted the Land Use, Circulation and Transportation Elements of the General Plan, and by Resolutiol No. 156-86 it adopted a General Plan Amendment revising certain policies; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Diagram which is a part of the Land Use Element should be amended to change the designation of the following properties (all of which are shown on Exhibit "A" which is attached and incorporated herein): ! 1) Approximately one acre located north, west and east of Oyster Point Boulevard approximately one-quarter mile from the terminus of that boulevard on the southerly portions of APN 015-010-250 and APN 015-010-240 from Open Space to Planned Industrial. 2) Approximately five acres located on the north side of Belle Air Road easterly of the Price Club on the westerly portion of APN 015-180-180 from Planned Industrial to Planned Commercial. 3) Approximately one acre located northwest of the terminus of Cyster Point Boulevard on the westerly portion of APN 015-010-220 from Planned Industrial to Planned Commercial. 4) ~pproximately one-half acre located easterly of Sign Hill and Westerly of Spruce Avenue on the westerly portion of APN 012-131-040 from Open Space to Low Density Residential. WHEREAS, on September 14, 1989 the Planning Commission held a duly advertise¢ public hearing on General Plan Amendment GP-89-38, and subsequently recommended adoption of the amendment to the City Council; and WHEREAS, October 11, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room, Municipal Services BJilding, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, CA. was fixed as the date, time, and place to hold a public hearing for which notice was published in the manner required by law and pursuant to which a hearing was held; and WHEREAS, Negative Declaration No. 666 has been proposed and processed in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, as amended; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and considered all material presented and concurs in the findings and determinations made by the Planning Commission; NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San :rancisco that it hereby approves as an amendment to the General Plan the change in land use designation of the properties shown in G~-89-38, attached as Exhibit "A". BE IT :URTHER RESOLVED that the City Council adopts the amendment based upon the following findings: 1. The General Plan Amendment has been prepared in accordance with State policy and zoning laws. 2. The amendment is consistent with other portions of the Land Use Element and other elements of the General Plan. 3. The amendment will not be adverse to the public health, safety or general welfare of the community. * i * * * * I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 11th day of October , 1989 by the following vote: AYES: NOES: ABSTAIN: ABSENT: Councilmembers Mark N.
