HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 169-1989 RESOLUTION NO. 169-89 CITY COUNCIL} CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO} STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THE NEED FOR ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO THE UNIFORM PLUMBING CODE~ 1988 EDITION ~ WHEREAS~ Section 17958 of the Health & Safety Code requires the adoption by the Ci-~ of South San Francisco of regulations imposing the requirements of certai~ uniform industry codes as specified in Health & Safety Code Section 17922; and WHEREAS, Health & Safety Code Section 17958.5 permits a city to make such changes or modifications to the uniform codes as deemed reasonable because of local climatic~ geological~ or topographical conditions; and WHEREAS~ Government Code Section 50022.4 provides that when a code is adopted by reference~ penalty clauses are not deemed adopted by reference but may be enacted only if set forth in full in the adopting ordinance; NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that pursuant to the requirements of Health & Safety Code Section 17958.7 and Government Code Section 50022.4~ the Council finds and determines there is a need to adopt the following administrative changes or modifications to the Uniform Plumbing Code~ 1988 Edition~ (Municipal Code Chapter 15.12) by reason of local con¢itions: Section 20.3~ Violations and Penalties, is restated in light of Government Code Section 50022.4 to conform with other Municipal Code provisions. Section 20.7j Schedule of Fees is replaced by Table 3-D within the Uniform Administrative Code 1988 Edition. BE IT ~URTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of this resolution~ together with the ordinances making the changes or modifications to the Uniform Plumbing Code~ 1988 Edition, to be filed with the State 3epartment of Housing and Community Development.
