HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 170-1989 RESOLUTION NO. 170~89 CIT~ COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO~ STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION FINDING AND DETERMINING THE NEED FOR ADMINISTRATIVE CHANGES OR MODIFICATIONS TO THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL CODE, 1988 EDITION WNERE~S, Section 17958 of the Health & Safety Code requires the adoption by the City of South San Francisco of regulations imposing the requirements of certaill uniform industry codes as specified in Health & Safety Code Section 1'~922; and WHERE~IS, Health & Safety Code Section 17958.5 permits a city to make such changes o~' modifications to the uniform codes as deemed reasonable because of local cli~latic, geological, or topographical conditions; and WHERE$~S, Government Code Section 50022.4 provides that when a code is adopted ~ reference, penalty clauses are not deemed adopted by reference but may bE enacted only if set forth in full in the adopting ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council that pursuant to the requirements of Health & Safety Code Section 17958.7 and Government Code Section 50022.4, the Council finds and determines there is a need to adopt the following administrative changes or modifications to the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1988 Edition, (Municipal Code Chapter 15.16) by reason of local conditions: S~ction 204, Violations, is restated and Section 20.5, Penalties, i; added in light of Government Code Section 50022.4 to conform w~th other Municipal Code provisions. BE IT ~URTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a copy of ~s resolution, together with the ordinances making the changes or modifications to the Uniform Mechanical Code, 1988 Edition, to be filed with the State epartment of Housing and Community Development.
