HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 72-1990~-- RESOLUTION NO. 72-90 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1986-87 APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR TNE CITY OF SOUTN SAN FRANCISCO PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIIIB OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the California Constitution states that all state and local government budgets are limited to a formula based upon the 1978-79 budget, plus adjustments for cost of living and population changes and specific exceptions for service charges, federal and state grants, reserve funds and so on; and WHEREAS, Division 9 of Title i of the Government Code (commencing with Section 7900) implements Article XIIIB of the California Constitution; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the law the City of South San Francisco has prepared documentation establishing its 1986-87 appropriation limit and has made this documentation available to the public for more than fifteen days; NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it finds: For 1986-87 the City's appropriation limit is $33,772,203. Tie Adopted Budget for 1986-87 includes $25,616,852 in appropriations w~ich are subject to the limit, and estimated proceeds of taxes of $17,684,341. For 1986-87 the City of South San Francisco is within the limits of A~ticle XIIIB of the California Constitution.
