HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 74-1990RESOLUTION NO. 74-90 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1988-89 APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIIIB OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the California Constitution states that all state and local government budgets are limited to a formula based upon the 1978-79 budget, plus adjustments for cost of living and population changes and specific ~xceptions for service charges, federal and state grants, reserve funds and so on; and WHEREAS, Division 9 of Title i of the Government Code (commencing with Section 7900) implements Article XIIIB of the California Constitution; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the law the City of South San Francisco has prepared documentation establishing its 1988-89 appropriation limit and has made this documentation available to the public for more than fifteen days; NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it finds: 1. For 1988-89 the City's appropriation limit is $36,210,313. e Tie Adopted Budget for 1988-89 includes $25,444,824 in appropriations w~ich are subject to the limit, and estimated proceeds of taxes of $19,289,643. 0 For 1988-89 the City of South San Francisco is within the limits of Article XIIIB of the California Constitution.
