HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 75-1990RESOLUTION NO. 75-90 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 1989-90 APPROPRIATION LIMIT FOR THE CITY OF SOUTN SAN FRANCISCO PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIIIB OF THE CALIFORNIA CONSTITUTION WHEREAS, Article XIIIB of the California Constitution states that all state and local government budgets are limited to a formula based upon the 1978-79 budget, plus adjustments for cost of living and population changes and specific exceptions for service charges, federal and state grants, reserve funds and so on; and WNEREAS, Division 9 of Title i of the Government Code (commencing with Section 7900) implements Article XIIIB of the California Constitution; and WHEREAS, in accordance with the law the City of South San Francisco has prepared documentation establishing its 1989-90 appropriation limit and has made this documentation available to the public for more than fifteen days; NOW, T~EREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that it finds: 1. F~r 1989-90 the City's appropriation limit is $38,343,545. e Tie Adopted Budget for 1989-90 includes $30,292,698 in appropriations w~ich are subject to the limit, and estimated proceeds of taxes of $20,895,809. e For 1989-90 the City of South San Francisco is within the limits of A~ticle XIIIB of the California Constitution. I here~y certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted ~! the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 27th day of June , 1990 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Gus Nicolopulos, John R.
