CITY COUNCILj CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SUBMITTAL OF A
GRANT APPLICATION FOR BURI BURI PARK EXPANSION
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have enacted the California
Wildlife, Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Act of 1988, which provides funds
to the State of California and its political subdivisions for acquiring and/or
developing facilities for public recreational and open space purposes; and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated
the responsibility for the administration of the program within the state,
setting up necessary procedures governing application by local agencies under
the program; and
WHEREAS, the procedures established by the State Department of Parks and
Recreation require the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of
application before submission of the application to the state; and
WHEREAS, the application contains assurances that the applicant must comply
with; andi
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of
California for acquisition or development of the project;

NOW, ~HEREFORE' BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco!that it:
Approves the filing of an application for the Per Capita Grant Program
urder the California Wildlife, Coastal, and Park Land Conservation Act
of 1988 state grant assistance for the Buri Buri project; and
2. Certifies that the applicant understands the assurances and
certification in the application form; and
3. Certifies that the applicant has or will have sufficient funds to
operate and maintain the project; and
Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City of South San
Francisco to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all
documents including, but not limited to applications, agreements,
amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary
for the completion of the aforementioned project.
5. Ap)roves Negative Declaration No. 649 with regard to the project.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted ~y the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 14th day of December. , 1988 by the following vote:
