RESOLUTION NO. 2-89
COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE
A PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENT LOCATED
WITHIN PARCEL 4, BLOCK 1,
WESTBOROUGH-WEST PARK UNIT NO. 1,
LANDS OF CAESAR CALLAN HOMES, INC.,
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
1. ~tice is hereby given that Wednesday, the 22nd day of February,
1989, at 7:30 p.m., which time is not less than fifteen (15) days from the
date of passage of this Resolution, in the Community Room of the Municipal
Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, California, is
hereby fixed as the time and place when and where all persons interested in,
or having iobjections to, the proposed vacation of public utility easement
located within Parcel 4, Block 1, Westborough-West Park Unit No. 1, Lands of
Caesar Callan Homes, Inc., South San Francisco, California as hereinafter
described, lmay appear before the Council and be heard.
2. A copy of this Resolution shall be published for a least two (2)
successive!weeks prior to the hearing date in the Enterprise-Journal, a
newspaper Of general circulation printed and published in the City in the
manner prescribed by law for publishing ordinances in the City.
3. Notices of the vacation, stating the passage of the Resolution of
Intention and the time and place of hearing shall be posted conspicuously
along the iline of the street, or part thereof, proposed to be vacated at
least two (2) weeks before the date set for the hearing, not more than 300
feet apart,i and not less than three (3) notices shall be posted.
4. ~he public interest and convenience require, and it is the
intention df this Council to vacate the public utility easement described in
Exhibit "A'! attached and located within Parcel 4, Block 1, Westborough-West
Park Unit No. 1, Lands of Caesar Callan Homes, Inc., South San Francisco,
California las shown on the attached plat map marked Exhibit "B".
5. This vacation proceeding is conducted pursuant to Chapter 3 of the
Public Streets, Highways and Service Easements Vacation Law (commencing with
Streets & Highways Code Section 8300 et. seq.)
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
regular! meeting held on the 11th day of January , 1989, by the
following Vote:

The land referred to in this report is situated in the
Itate of California, County of San Mateo, City of South
an Francisco.
parcel 4, Block 1, as delineated upon that certain map
entitled "Parcel Map, Division of Block 1, Westborough-
West Park Unit No. 1, Lands of Caesar Callan Homes,
inc., South San Francisco, California", filed for record
On June 23, 1966, in Book 1, of Maps at Page 33 in the
)ffice of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo,
;alifornia, Described as follows:
Beginning at the Southerly corner of said land
along the Westerly side of Westborough Blvd.,
thence North 36 46'00" West 162.83 feet;
thence North 53 14'00" East 59.26 feet to the
existing 10.00 feet storm drain easement;
thence South 79 02'58" East 31.00 feet to the
true point of beginning of centerline 10 feet
wide storm drain easement to be abandoned;
thence South 79 02'58" East 166.16 feet to
the Southeasterly side of the property line of
the said land.
