CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO~ STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION AMENDING CHAPTER i OF THE MASTER
FEE SCHEDULE OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
WHEREAS, the City Council has established regulations pertaining to
Animal Licensing and Control in Chapter 9.04 of the South San Francisco
Municipal Code, and wishes to revise related fees as set forth in
Chapter I of the Master Fee Schedule; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco contracts with the County
of San Mateo for its animal control services; and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 54990, et seq. provides a procedure
for levying certain fees by local agencies and Government Code
Section 54985, et seq. provides a parallel procedure for levying certain
fees by counties; and
WHEREAS, on April 26, 1988 the Board of Supervisors conducted a properly
noticed public hearing at which time an opportunity was given to the members
of the public to make written or oral presentations on the subject of the
proposed fees and there was no opposition; and
WHEREAS, based upon the action by the Board of Supervisors to increase
fees and recognizing the City's reliance upon the County for animal control
services, the City Council has considered the costs to provide the foregoing
services, including estimated costs, and the revenue sources anticipated to
provide the services, including general fund revenues and the public response;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that:
1. The City Council adopts the County's revised animal licensing and
control fees.
2. The Director of Finance is directed to amend the Master Fee Schedule
of the City of South San Francisco to reflect that the City's animal licensing
and control fees shall henceforth equal the fees established for such
activities by the County of San Mateo.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced
and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a
reqular 'meeting held on the 25th day of January , 1989, by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego. Jack Drago, Richard A. Haffey,
