HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 29-1989 RESOLUTION NO. 29-89 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION ADJUSTING THE SALARY RATES FOR THE POSITIONS OF OPERATOR II, OPERATOR I AND OPERATOR APPRENTICE IN THE WATER QUALITY CONTROL PLANT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has recognized the International Union of Operating Engineers, Stationary Engineers Local 39, AFL-CIO, hereafter designated as "Union," as the employee organization representing a majority of those employees working in classifications in representation Unit D; and WHEREAS, the representative of the City and the representatives of the Union agreed in the Memorandum of Understanding for the period of January 1, 1988 through December 31, 1990 to conduct a total compensation survey of selected positions in Unit D; and WHEREAS, this total compensation survey revealed that the position of Operator II WQCP was compensated at a level of three and three-tenths percent (3.3%) below the average of comparable jurisdictions surveyed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the salary rate for the position of Operator II WQCP as well as the salary rates for the related positions of Operator I WQCP and Operator Apprentice WQCP shall be increased by three and three-tenths percent (3.3%) commencing with the pay period including July 1, 1988. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 22nd day of February , 1989, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N.
