HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 47-1989RESOLUTION NO. 47-89 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION AMENDING THE SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO EMPLOYEE CLASSIFICATION PLAN BY REVISING THE JOB SPECIFICATION FOR THE POSITION OF SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS DISPATCHER BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the Employee Classification Plan, as amended, is further amended as follows: The Class Specification for the position of Senior Communications Dispatcher is revised as set forth in Exhibit "A" I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 12th day of April , 1989, by the followiing vote: AYES: NOES: ABSTAIN: Councilmembers Mark N. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos, and Mayor ROberta Cerri Teglia None None ABSENT: None ~ ATTEST.~~y ClefK ~~ SENIOR COMMUNICATIONS DISPATCHER 4/89 Pg..2 Ability to: Recognize, identify, and bring procedural problems to the attention of the Communications Supervisor and make recommendations for improvement; Operate radio equipment and related information systems; Supervise and train subordinates; Speak and write effectively; Establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with the public and City personnel; Type a minimum of 20 words per minute; Adapt to odd and frequently irregular work shifts. and EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience as a communications dispatcher with a governmental public safety co~ununications department. and EDUCATION: Equivalent to graduation from High School. LICENSE: Possession of an appropriate California operator's license issued by the State Department of Motor Vehicles.
