CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CONSENTING TO THE DESIGNATION
OF PORTIONS OF HILLSIDE BOULEVARD AND
BAYSHORE IAIRPORT) BOULEVARD WITHIN THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AS A COUNTY HIGHWAY
WHEREAS, Section 1700 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code authorizes
the Board Df Supervisors of San Mateo County, by resolution adopted by 4/Sths
vote, to declare any highway in the County lying in whole or in part within a
city to be! a county highway of the County for one or more of the following
purposes: acquisition of rights of way, construction, maintenance, improvement,
or repair upon consent of the City Council of such City by resolution to the
establishment thereof; and
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco is authorized pursuant to
Section 18D0 et seq. of the Streets and Highways Code to layout, construct and
maintain any section or portion of any street or highway within the territorial
jurisdiction of City; and
WHEREAS, in connection with the development of the South Slope of San
Bruno Mountain (Terrabay) the City Council approved the alignment of the
Hillside B~ulevard Extension; and ~
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors by Resolution No. 52471 voted to declare
the portions of Hillside Boulevard and Bayshore (Airport) Boulevard, more
particularly described in Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B" respectively, situated
within thel territory of the City of South San Francisco to be county highways
of the County of San Mateo for the purpose of improvement and repair and has
requested that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco adopt a
resolution consenting to the establishment of the above described Hillside
Boulevard and Bayshore (Airport) Boulevard as San Mateo County highways.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that the City of South San Francisco hereby consents to the
establish~nt of portions of Hillside Boulevard and Bayshore (Airport)
Boulevard, more particularly described in Exhibit "A" and Exhibit "B"
respectively, as county highways for the purpose of improvement and repair.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 26th day of April , 1989 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Gus Nicolopulos, and Mayor Roberta Cerri
Teglia
NOES: Councilmember Mark N. Addiego
ABSTAIN: !None
ABSENT: Councilmember Richard A. Haffey
