This request for additional funding would support follow-up
activities to the Bay Area Adult Learner Conference, which
was held on March 11, 1989. Because the conference stimula-
ted so much interest and excitement among the learners, we
would like to continue to plan regional and local activities
to complement the conference. This proposed augmentation
would pay for the conference coordinator to continue to work
with the adult learner planning team as a half time consultant,
would support the creation of a Bay Area Adult Learner News-
letter, provide scholarships to create 4 regional follow=up
workshops for learners, would cover costs to make 21 copies
of the conference video (one for each Bay Area program), an~
would support the printing and mailing costs to produce and
distribute the full conference report.
