CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT
' FOR THE EL CAMINO PLAZA ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the City Council (the "Council") of the City of
South Sa~ Francisco (the "City"), County of San Mateo,
California, that
WHEREAS, on the 28th day of March, 1989, the City Clerk of
the City iof South San Francisco publicly opened, examined and
declared iall sealed proposals or bids for the work to be done and
improvements to be made, as described and specified in Resolution
No. 145-8i8, Resolution of Intention, adopted by this Council on
December !14; 1988, to which resolution and the plans and
specifications reference is hereby made for a description of the
work and iimprovements to be done and the materials, supplies and
equipment to be furnished therefor; and
WHEREAS, the bids were referred to and considered by this
Council at its meeting on June 14, 1989;
NOW,i THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco as follows:
1. iThis Council hereby rejects all of the proposals or bids
except that hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract
for doing the work and improvements and furnishing the supplies,
materials and equipment necessary therefor, to the lowest
responsible bidder, to wit:
James Chalmers, Contractor
San Jose, California
at the u~it prices specified in the bid of the low bidder.
2. iThe City Manager of this City is hereby authorized to
make and ienter into a written contract with the successful
bidder, and to receive and approve all bonds in co~ection
therewith.
3. iThe City Manager shall, within five (5) days of the
adoption !of this resolution, transmit an Extract of Public Works
Contract iAward to the Department of Industrial Relations,
Division iof Apprenticeship Standards, P.O. Box 603, San
Francisco, California, 94101. Should a finding of any
discrepancy regarding the ratio of apprentices to journeymen be
made, the Division of Apprenticeship Standards shall be notified
of such findings.
