CITY COUNCILj CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION ASSESSING THE COST
OF ABATING PUBLIC NUISANCES
WHEREASj Chapter 8.48 of the South San Francisco Municipal Code authorizes
the City'slpolice department to abate and remove abandoned vehicles as public
nuisances;and
WHEREAS~ South San Francisco Municipal Code Section 8.48.150 and Government
Code Section 38773.5 authorize the City Council to impose as a municipal tax
the costs of abatement against the owner of the land from which the vehicle was
removed; and
WHEREASj the following abatements were conducted pursuant to this authority
and remain.unpaid:

NOW, THEREFOREj BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of South
San FranciSco that:
The costs of abatement listed above are assessed against the respective
property owners.

The costs assessed shall be transmitted to the San Mateo County Tax
Assessor for collection as municipal taxes in accordance with
Government Code Section 38773.5
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by !the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting held on the 26th day of July , 1989 by the following vote:
