HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 112-1989RESOLUTION NO. 112-89 CITY iCOUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION APPROVING A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION OF PROPERTY AT THE CORNER OF SOUTH AIRPORT BOULEVARD AND BELLE AIR ROAD FROM PLANNED INDUSTRIAL TO PLANNED COMMERCIAL WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 92-84 the City Council adopted the Land Use, CirculatiOn and Transportation Elements of the General Plan, and by Resolution No. 156-86 it adopted a General Plan Amendment revising certain policies; iand WHEREAS, the Land Use Diagram which is a part of the Land Use Element should be !amended to change the designation of three parcels (APN 015-173-040, 015-173-080 and 015-173-150) totaling approximately nine (9) acres at the southeast !corner of South Airport Boulevard and Belle Air Road shown on Exhibit "A" which is attached and incorporated herein from Planned Industrial to Planned Commercial; and WHEREAS, on June 8, 1989 the Planning Commission held a duly advertised public hearing on General Plan Amendment GP-89-37, and subsequently recommended adoption of the amendment to the City Council; and WHEREAS, July 26, 1989 at 7:30 p.m. in the Community Room, Municipal Services Building, 33 Arroyo Drive, South San Francisco, CA. was fixed as the date, time, and place to hold a public hearing for which notice was published~in the manner required by law and pursuant to which a hearing was held; and WHEREAS, Negative Declaration No. 662 has been proposed and processed in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, as amended; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and considered all material presented land concurs in the findings and determinations made by the Planning Commission; NOW, ~HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Franci!sco that it hereby approves as an amendment to the General Plan the change indesignation from Planned Industrial to Planned Commercial of the properties listed in GP-89-37, attached as Exhibit "A". BE ITFURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council adopts the amendment based upon the following findings: 1. The General Plan Amendment has been prepared in accordance with State policy and zoning laws. 2. !he amendment is consistent with other portions of the Land Use Element and other elements of the General Plan. 3. ~he amendment will not be adverse to the public health, safety or general welfare of the community. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 26th day of July , 1989, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Jack Drago, Richard A.
