A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND APPROVING AN AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND THE
INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE FIGHTERS LOCAL 1507,
A~L-CIO, UNIT B, REGARDING SALARY INCREASES FOR THE
PERIOD JULY 1, 1987 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1988
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of South San Francisco
has recognized the International Association of Firefighters
Local 1507, AFL-CIO, as the employee organization representing a
majority of those employees working in classifications in
representation Unit B; and
WHEREAS, the representative of the City and the
representatives of Local 1507 have personally met and conferred
and freely exchanged information, opinions and proposals, and
WHEREAS, the representative of the City and representatives
of Local 1507 have reached agreement on a salary increase for the
period July 1, 1987 through June 30, 1988, and
WHEREAS, the City's representative recommends that the
agreement be accepted and approved by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco hereby accepts and approves the
agreement between the City of South San Francisco and the
International Association of Firefighters, Local 1507, AFL-CIO
which se~s forth those salary adjustments for the period July 1,
1987 through June 30, 1988 to read as set forth in Exhibit "1"
attached.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 13th day
of Aprl] , 1988, by the following vote:

EXHIBIT "1 II TO RESOLUTION NO. 47-88
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
AND THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS
LOCAL 1507, AFL-CIO, UNIT B, REGARDING A SALARY
INCREASE FOR THE PERIOD JULY 1, 1987 THROUGH JUNE 30,
1988
The parties having met and negotiated pursuant to Government Code
Section 3500 et seq. do hereby agree to the following changes to
the Memorandum of Understanding in the terms and conditions of
employment from the date of this agreement to June 30, 1988:
Wages: Appendix A
1. Acne and one half percent (1 1/2%) salary increase will be
made effective with the pay period including July 1, 1987.
2. At such time as a sick leave package is negotiated and
agreed upon by both parties in the upcoming negotiations, an
additional one and one half percent (1 1/2%) salary increase
will be made effective with the pay period including July 1,
1987.

In addition to number 2 above, an additional two
percent (2%) will be added to the one and one half
percent (1 1/2%) salary increase effective with the pay
period including January 1, 1988, for a total of three
and one half percent (3 1/2%) salary increase made
during the July 1, 1987 through June 30, 1988, fiscal
year and continuing thereafter, after a sick leave
package is negotiated and agreed upon by both parties.
3. The total of number 1 plus number 2 plus number 2a) after a
sick leave package is negotiated and agreed upon by both
parties is therefore:
1-1/2% + 1-1/2% + 2% = 5%, and is expressed in graph
form in the following manner:
