HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 37-2011 RESOLUTION NO. 37 -2011 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION AWARDING THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO CALSTROY CONSTRUCTION FOR THE SIEBECKER CHILDCARE CENTER EXPANSION PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $115,000 WHEREAS, on February 22, 2011, staff issued a Notice Inviting Bids for the Siebecker Childcare Center Expansion Project ( "Project "); and WHEREAS, staff received ten (10) bids in response; and WHEREAS, Calstroy Construction, of San Francisco was the lowest responsible bidder; and WHEREAS, staff recommends awarding the construction contract for the Project to Calstroy Construction in the amount of $115,000; and WHEREAS, funding for the Project is included in the City of South San Francisco's 2010 -2011 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and sufficient funds are available. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City Council hereby awards the construction contract for the Siebecker Childcare Center Expansion Project to Calstroy Construction of San Francisco, California, in an amount not to exceed $115,000, conditioned on its timely execution of the Project contract and submission of all required documents, including but not limited to, executed bonds, certificates of insurance, and endorsements, in accordance with the Project documents. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute the documents on behalf of the City Council upon timely submission by Calstroy Construction of the signed contract and all other documents, subject to approval by the City Attorney. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9 day of March, 2011 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto, Vice Mayor Richard A.
