CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF $25,000
IN GRANT FUNDING TO SUPPORT THE PICTURE THIS— OUR
STORIES PROJECT AND AMENDING THE LIBRARY
DEPARTMENT'S 2010 -2011 OPERATING BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco ( "City ") Library Department established the
local history collection to preserve documents and photographs of local historical significance; and
WHEREAS, the California State Library awarded a Library Services and Technology Act
grant to the City in the amount of $25,000 to fund the Picture This -- Our Stories project; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends the acceptance of the grant funding in the amount of $25,000
from the California State Library to support the Picture This — Our Stories project; and
WHEREAS, the foregoing grant funds will be used to amend this year's operating budget of
the Library Department.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that the City Council hereby accepts $25,000 in Library Services and Technology Act
grant funding from the California State Library and amends the Library Department's 2010 -2011
Operating Budget in order to reflect an increase of $25,000.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held on the 9 day of March,
2011 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Mark Addiego, Pedro Gonzalez, and Karyl Matsumoto,
Vice Mayor Richard A. Garbarino and Mayor Kevin Mullin
