HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 72-1988 RESOLUTION NO. 72-88 CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA A RESOLUTION COMMENDING RICHARD L. STEWART WHEREAS, Dick Stewart was hired as a Building Inspector and began working for the City on June 14, 1979 and has retired as of June 3, 1988; and WHEREAS, during his nine years as a Building Inspector Dick has been very helpful to builders from the Hispanic community; and WHEREAS, he suggested and helped implement the Senior Home Repair Program, and even personally paid for one individual's new electric service; and WHEREAS, Dick has been an active member of the City's Deferred Compensation Committee and is well known and highly regarded as the founder and financial backer of the Purple on Thursday Society; and WHEREAS, his fellow employees will miss his presence but endeavor to carry on the Thursday doughnut hole tradition while Dick is out golfing, fishing, traveling and managing his monetary investments when not relaxing with his family and friends. NOW, TqEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco chat it does hereby express appreciation to Richard L. Stewart for his dedicated services to the City of South San Francisco and does order this Resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's expression of appreciation and its wishes for his long and happy retirement. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting he'd on the 8th day of June , 19 88 by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Mark N. Addiego, Richard A. Haffey, Gus Nicolopulos, Roberta Cerri Teglia, and Jack Drago NOES: None ABSTAIN: hone ABSENT: None
