[TY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND
DECLARING RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON NOVEMBER 3, 1987
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held in and throughout the
City of South San Francisco on the 3rd day of November 1987, pursuant to
Resolution No. 76-87, for the election of two members of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk has duly presented to the City Council of the
City of South San Francisco all the returns of the votes cast at said General
Municipal Election pursuant to Elections Code Sections 17088 and 23306, and
WHEREAS, said City Council has inspected and examined all said
returns;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of said City that
said Council finds as follows:
1. That there were twenty one thousand five hundred fifty three
(21,553) registered voters in the City of South San Francisco and that
seven thousand four hundred fifty seven (7,457) votes were cast in the City of
South San Francisco;
2. That the names of persons voted for as submitted at said General
Municipal Election are as follows:
(a) As regularly-nominated candidates:
Richard A. Haffey, City Councilman Councilmember
Lou Dell'Angela, Planning & Environmental Consultant "
David H. Anderson, Probation Officer "
Roberta Cerri Teglia, City Councilwoman "
Alfred E. Banfield, Landscape Contractor "
(b) As write-in candidates:
None.
RESULTS OF SAID GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
3. CANDIDATES
(a) That the record of the votes cast at said General Municipal
Election in favor of said candidates as shown by the official count at each of
the several precincts established throughout said City by said City Council for
the purpose of conducting said Election is as shown on Exhibit "A" attached
hereto, the same being a tabulation of the votes by precincts.
(b) That the votes cast at said General Municipal Election in

favor of said candidates for the Office of City Councilmember by absentee ballot
as shown by the official count, and included in the totals set forth in Exhibit
"A", are as follows:

(c) That the totals, including the absentee ballots, of the votes

That the City Council of said City hereby declares that Roberta
Cerri Teglli~ and Richard A. Haffey were duly elected at said General Municipal
Election ~,s members of the City Council of South San Francisco.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of said City shall, and she
is hereby ordered to, issue Certificates of Election as follows: to Roberta
Cerri Teglia and Richard A. Haffey as members of the City Council.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly
introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at
a special meeting held on the 20th day of November , 1987, by the
following vote:

I, WARREN SLOCUM, County Clerk for the County of San Mateo, do
hereby ~ertify to the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, that
after the closing of the polls at the City of South San Francisco Municipal
Election Consolidated with the School Governing Board and Consolidated
Elections held on Tuesday, the 3rd day of November, 1987, within the City of
South san Francisco for the purpose of electing two members of the City
Council '~for a four year term to the vote of voters, I caused to have taken
off and i. recorded from the voting machines used at said polling places and I
caused to be canvassed the absentee ballots cast at said election within the
City of!South San Francisco.
I'i HEREBY FURTHER CERTIFY that the record of votes cast at said
polling iplaces and the results of the canvass of the absentee ballots cast
for the various candidates fOr the office of Member of City Council are set
forth in! Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by
referenc~ as though fully set forth at length.
