CI-Y COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING FRANK JOSEPH BACHLE
WHEREA~, FRANK BACHLE is retiring, after faithfully serving the City for
approximat~ly twenty-three (23) years; and
WHEREA~, Frank was first employed by the City on April 16, 1965 as a
Maintenance Man I in the Street Department, was promoted on December 1, 1966
to Maintenance Man II and on December 1, 1976 became Maintenance Man III; and
WHEREAS, his knowledge of the job and his high standard of performance
elevated hilm to Maintenance Man IV on January 1, 1978; and
WHEREASl, as Lead Maintenance worker in charge of the Asphalt Crew, he has
surveyed City streets for determination of repairs, trained his crew in the
safe practices and proper methods of asphalt repair and with his knowledge
of sewer and storm systems throughout the area, Frank has maintained a high
level of mai~ntenance within the City; and
WH[RE^S, upon graduation from galboa High School in San Francisco, Frank
enlisted ini~the United States Navy where he served as a Motor Machinist 2nd
Class in the Pacific lheater aboard the USS Clearfield; and
WHEREAS

Frank was employed as a Pest Control Specialist for fifteen (15)
to joining the City of South San Francisco; and
Frank served on the Safety Committee for the City, as a Shop
a member of the Executive Board of AFSCME Local 1569, later becom-
ing a Trustee; and
WHEREAS displaying his concern for others, he served as a volunteer and
telephone counselor for the San Mated County Suicide Prevention Center; and

WHEREAI.S, while Frank is reading and walking and enjoying his favorite
activity oif trying to keep up with his granddaughter, he will be missed by
all of h si friends in the City of South San Francisco.
NOW, HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San
Francisco that it does hereby express appreciation to Frank Joseph Bachle for
his dedica

incorporated in the official records of the City as this Council's
of appreciation and its wishes for his long and happy retirement.
