CI!TY COUNCIL, CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
A RESOLUTION COMMENDING FRANK PIANCA
WHEREAS, Frank Pianca is retiring from his position as Fire Captain
after working twenty-seven (27) years in the City of South San Francisco's
Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, in addition to his firefighting duties Frank helped maintain
and was later responsible for the City's entire fire alarm system, set up
the new ai~ breathing system, helped develop the engine company hose packs
and developed the Department's successful supply system; and
WHEREA~, during his career Frank furthered his education by completing
courses fo~ Chief Fire Officers on Fire Simulator, Municipal Fire Adminis-
tration, C~lifornia State Officers Command, and Fire Alarm Systems as
well as obtaining his EMT-1 certification; and
WHEREAS, Frank's fellow employees will miss his ability to fix almost
anything, §is open-mindedness, his emphasis on quality and his great cooking;
and ~
WHEREAS, in retirement Frank will have time to pursue his goals of
traveling and working in his new woodshop making toys and other wood items
for his family and grandchildren; and
NOW, TFEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that it does hereby express its appreciation to Frank Pianca
for his decicated services to the City of South San Francisco and does order
this Resolution incorporated in the official records of the City as this
Council's expression of appreciation and its wishes for his long and happy
retirement.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by 'the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular
meeting helid on the 13th day of January , 19 88 by the following vote:
